| Bridgehampton, NY 1968 CanAm race. Sunday
morning, waiting for the "clear the grid command" Mark waiting in his
office to go to work in his McLaren M6B. Thanks John McGinnis for the super

Monoco 1975. The Penske PC1 was still being
developed, Monoco Armco barriers are very close, Mark uncharacteristically bent
the car in practice. This photo shows his undisguised mood as to how saturday
practice had gone, the damaged PC1 being returned to the pits on a flatbed. One
of my favorites that John McGinnis sent as I can imagine what Mark is thinking
and how much he really did not want to be there. |
| Watkins Glen, NY may 1967 USRRC race winner
Mark Donohue in the Suncoco Lola T70 MkIII at speed. Peachtree/ GMP is making a
1/18th scale model of this car thanks to the great detailed pictures that John
McGinnis provided for them like this one. |

Monoco 1975 Mark at speed in the PC1. This
right hand turn down the hill from Casino Square. John McGinnis took this with
a 90mm lense. A race he says to see once just for the spectacle. |
| Bridgehampton, NY 1967 USRRC race starting
grid. Roger Penske leaning down talking to Mark with crewman Bill Scott behind
Roger. Thanks John McGinnis for another great shot. |

Indianapolis Raceway Park in the spring of 1969
again. I thought that was one of the most beautiful cars at the time, and in a
few weeks from when that picture was taken he won the "Rookie of the Year"
at the Indianapolis 500 in that very car. |
| Everyone has to start somewhere, and this is
where Mark Donohue started. This 37 Ford was bought by Mark when he was 15 years
old and by the time this picture was taken he had already made some
modifications. Can you imagine a 15 year old dreaming of winning the Indy 500
while working on this jalopy.... |

Indianapolis Raceway Park in the spring of
1969. These are personal pictures of Marks Lola during testing for the upcoming
Indy 500. Notice the turocharging hanging out the side, with no thought of aero
dynamics. |
| This is my son Mark, sitting next to David
Adney's reproduction of Marks 1969 Camaro Z/28. It was taken at the 1999 Super
Chevy Show at IRP, where the car debuted after 5 years of restoration. |
