Mark getting out of his car during practice for
the 1973 Indianapolis 500. |
| Mark during a pit stop during the Daytona
24-hour race, in the Ferrari 512M, and dubbed as the "worlds fastest
Ferrari". He won the pole in 3 of the 4 races entered, but never managed to
finish well. An interesting note, the guy washing the windshield is Al Holbert. |

| I contemplated not putting this here, but its
part of Mark's racing career. This was taken at the either at the British GP or
during practice at the Austrian GP in `75, in a March 751 Ford. |

In 1971, Mark driving to another win at Elkart
Lake , winning the Trans Am Championship that year. Thanks Mike Odell. |
| An interesting picture. In 1974, Mark as the
team manager for Brian Redman in the only Can Am race that they ran the Porsche
917/30KL in. It was an experiment to see if the Porsche would be competitive
after SCCA made rule changes that were suppose to make all the cars more equal.
What they did was basically ruin what was the best road racing series ever. Does
anyone know who is standing with Mark in this picture? Mike Odell, you out did
yourself on this one, as it is one of my favorite of your pictures. |
