| A rare picture of Mark's Porsche 917/30 sitting
in the pits at Elkart Lake. Thank you Mike Odell |

The grid coming around to take the green flag
at the 73 Can Am race at Road America, with Mark on the pole with Jody Schecter
in the Vasek Polak Porsche 917/10. One of the few times that another car was in
front of Mark that year. |
| What a beautiful sight seeing mark at speed in
the Porsche 917/30KL again. I wish there were sound to go along with this
picture, as it was music to my ears to hear the 1200 horsepower, 12 cylinder
twin turbo screaming at Mid Ohio. I appriciate Mike Odell for taking and sharing
the shot. |

Mark in the worlds fastest Ferrari 512 at
Watkins Glen 6 hour in its last race. One of the prettiest non red Ferrari's
ever on a track. Thanks again to Mike Odell for the picture. |
| This picture was taken by Mike Odell thru a
Chevy dealers window in Plymoth, Wis. near Elkart Lake to get a better view of
Mark and George Follmer's Lola T70's for an upcoming race. It was the only way
to get close up pictures of the cars back then. What a fantastic picture. |

A rare picture of Mark's Lola T163 Chevy Can Am
car that was taken to Mid Ohio in 1969. Whats so rare about it is that this car
ran in only one race. Mark qualified in 3rd behind the 2 McLarens and ran 9 laps
until an axle broke. The Can Am series was 5 races old when they brought this
car to Mid Ohio and decided it needed to alot of sorting out that Mark didn't
have the time for, so it never reappeared. One of the most interesting pictures
Mike Odell sent. |
| The McLaren M6B that Mark ran in the USRRC and
Can Am in. It is an interesting picture with front off sitting beside the rest
of the car. |

A classic picture of Mark sitting in the pits
at Elkart Lake planning his next move. Thanks Mike. |
| September 1968 Bridgehampton Can-Am week end.
Both Mark and Roger look concerned as Mark was (only) 4th on the grid, behind
Team McClaren and Jim Hall's Chaparral. The thought had to be: Were they going
to spend the next 5 Can-Am races chasing Team McLaren? Mark would actually win
that Can-Am when both Mclarens failed to finish. Photo and text provided by John
McGinnis.
