"Mark Donohue Tribute" September 5-7, 2003

Here are the first few pictures I wanted to share with everyone. I will be adding new pictures and information very frequently.


Above are the 16 cars who made up the reunion. The names of all the cars owners are listed beside the cars,. The first 2 cars represent Marks first race car, the Elva Courier (Pat Ryan) and to its right one of the last, the Penske PC1 F1 (Roger Penske). The cars behind it from left to right are the 70 Lola T153 (John Darlington) the 68 Camaro (Tom McIntyre) and the 67 Lola T70 (Pat Ryan). Then on the next row is the Matador that Mark won his only NASCAR win in, that was rebodied for Bobby Allison (Talledega Museum) and on the beautiful 67 Ford GT Mk II (Jim Glickhausen) and a Lola CanAm car (Dale Phelon) that Mark drove in 69. The next row back is the famous 69 Camaro (Tom Epsman) beside the Javelin (Jose Gonzales) owns that Mark ran the 70 TA series with that was rebodied for Roy Woods in 71. and beside it is the 71 Javelin (MAECO) that Mark won the Trans Am series that year in. Beside it is the famous "lightweight" Camaro (Pat Ryan) that Mark drove in 67 and 68. In the back row is the Lola T70 (Steven Young) that Mark and George Follmer drove in the 67 CanAm, the Mustang GT350 (Paul Andrews) that Mark ran in BP in SCCA , the Porsche Carrera (Roger Penske) that Mark won the 73-74 IROC Championship in, and the Lola T70 Coupe than Mark wont the 69 Daytona 24 hour in.



Going from left to right, starting at the bottom is Mr and Mrs Michael Donohue, Chuck Cantwell, Ron Fournier, Karl Kainhofer, Bill Preston, Roy Gane, Greg Seyfert. Then Earle MacMullin, Bill Daughtery, Don Cox, Chuck Sprague, Warren Agor, John "Woody" Woodard, Jerry Kroninger, Harry Tidmarsh, and Bob Koons.



The 71 Javelin that was restored just in time for the reunion. Thanks MAECO Motorsports.

In town during the Friday evening festivities is Karl Kainhofer, Roy Gane, and Chuck Cantwell enjoying themselves.



Harry Tidmarsh who worked with Mark on many projects talking to Tom McIntyre who is the car owner for the 68 Camaro that Mark drove to the 68 Trans Am Championship.



Paul Powell, the founder of the reunion and your very own webmaster here talking to John " Woody" Woodard on Friday night.
